Darel Bennedbaek

Burman University Library
Librarian II, Technical Services/Systems (April 30)
I earned my BA Hons in English Literature from the University of New Brunswick, Saint John (2008), and my MA in Library and Information Studies from the University of Alberta (2012). I started working at Burman University in 2012. At Burman University, and worked as the systems librarian and in various other capacities, including information literacy and collection development. My primary research recently has been in the perception that students have of librarians/information literacy (in collaboration with Sheila Clark and Darren George, the Library Director and Director of Research at Burman), and the application of VR in universities (in collaboration with the faculties of English, Arts, and Education). I will be starting as the systems librarian at Lethbridge College starting July 2.
